A safe haven
Leaunder Street’s children give her the strength to endure each day. Without them, she does not know how she would cope with life’s many chalÂlenges.
“If it wasn’t for the kids, I don’t know if I would live,” said Street, who stays at the ExecuÂtive Inn on Selma Highway with her three children, ages 12, 8 and 7. “Some days I feel like breaking down, giving up. But they say it will get worse before it gets better. I need that boost.”
