Earth’s Best® Celebrates 25th Birthday
It is so very important that we give our pure babies and their pristine bodies foods that are free from pesticides, genetically engineered ingredients, and antibiotics for many reasons. Unfortunately, not enough parents out there know what their options are. At Earth’s Best® 25th Birthday Party last week, YourSingleParenting found out 2 very disturbing facts:
- Children who ate non-organic foods, compared to those who ate organics, have 6 times more pesticides in their bodies.
- Pesticides can effect children even more so than adults – adversely effecting their growing organs and wreaking havoc on their developing immune systems.
While we do understand that organic foods are more expensive than conventional ones, the price difference is usually not steep enough to justify giving our children food grown in chemical fertilizers and given baths of pesticides. We did a little price comparison myself and on average, the organic baby foods were only 20 to 30 cents more expensive than the conventional ones. Only 20 to 30 cents! And while certain government and non-government organizations claim that consuming a tiny percentage of pesticides is harmless, we stand for children consuming NO pesticides. There just isn’t any “tiny percentage” of poisons that are acceptable to be consumed by anyone, much less children.
YourSingleParenting was very happy to attend the Earth’s Best® event because giving our children organic foods is something we feel strongly about. Their health and well-being (just like for every parent out there), is our biggest concern and primary responsibility.
