Important Organization For Single Moms
Your Single Parenting interviewed Monique Neeley, the Founder of SingleMomsResources.org and learned about a very important non-profit called Making Ends Meet. Making Ends Meet is an organization dedicated to helping single moms facing all sorts of financial difficulties. Monique, although now married, was not only a single mom at one point, but her mother was also a single mom before she re-married, so she has a real passion for supporting single moms and began this organization as a way to make a difference in the single mother community.
Running a non-profit is not easy, and most of the funds they receive to assist their clients are raised through grass-roots efforts. Monique “pounds the pavement”, both in the real world and online, to get companies to donate goods and funds. Making Ends Meet is currently holding a fundraiser whereby people who are interested in supporting the organization can do so by voting for adorable children to make the cut for an upcoming calendar. Monique began Making Ends Meet five years ago, and since then she has helped many single mother households get emergency funds for rent, utilities, groceries, and many other kinds of immediate needs as well.
